i duno... i've been involved in some pretty good deals that seemed to good to be true but werent. and i don't think 18k for an 03 EVO is to good to be true either... it's 4 years old... probably a minimum of 40k miles. for a base model RS i think that's a good price but i wouldn't say too good to be true.

Not true, they just have a major problem with platform sharing.
Chevy, GMC, Pontiac, Saturn, Buick... all too many similar model.

The Impala is a nice family car, and the SS version hauls serious ***.
The cavalier has not been made for 2 years. Replaced by the outstanding Cobalt. and again, the SS version is a fast car.

i like the silverado and impala from chevy and this topic has gone way off track
The thing is i can get away with a srt 4 for 20k
cant find any 03 moddles in vegas and the o6 gonan be 700 a month which sadly i cant do

Well most ppl who r selling those type of evo have missed the purpose also ebay ive seen ppl selling evo bodys..ancer engines so i want to be sure so ill do local private and check it all out and everything

I passed trading my Eclipse GS-T on an '03 Evo VIII a month ago. It only had 23k on it and a few mild add ons like exhaust, Defi bosst gauge and other gauges. Sweet ride!The dealer was originally was asking 24,995. I told him that I work for another dealership in sales (which I do) and then he said he would sell the Evo to me for 21,000 (500 over what he had into it). A decent deal there. But why I didn't buy it was because he was only giving me 7,500 on my '99 Eclipse GS-T. I said hell no cuz I have over 8,500 just in mods and upgrades into it plus I wanted a little cheddar for the car itself (only 52,000 miles). Oh well, my Eclipse is paid off and I didn't need another payment anyway. The lesson here....If you mod your car and dump a pile of time and money into it, you're not going to get **** out of it when you go to trade it. Sell it on E-bay or the AutoTrader.
