head replaced and car wont start

the old sensor was definitly broken though. so were hoping its just that

the 97 should have been fine. I dont see why it wouldnt have unless he gave you one for the turbo motor

have you checked that the plug wires are in the correct order. Because i swapped valve covers in mine and hade my order wrong and it sounds a lot like you are describing

I'm pretty sure the pistions won't hit the valves if the timing is backwards. The piston TDC should be right below the open position of the valves on all four cylinders.
