Default Replaced the starter & battery, now dies when let off gas

I just replaced the battery and starter on my Mitsubishi Galant 2000 6 cyl. Now, the idle is running very low and the car dies everytime I let off of the gas?? Anyone have any ideas what's gone wrong? Did not have this problem before I replaced the battery and starter..

check the connections to the battery...sometimes a loose terminal can cause this. Also check the electrical to the starter, maybe clean the harness

Default Thanks TheEngineer

Did just that, and it seems to be running much better w/out dying! WD-40 on the throttle, and checked the connections.. I appreciate your input , this forum is just like being married to a mechanic!

glad to hear it. I remember i had the same problem. My car kept dying and i could not figure it out. I ended up needing a tow cuz it wouldnt start. Then i get it to the shop and the guy bring me in to just show me a loose terminal....all i could do was laugh and shake my head, hahaha
