Default starter location?

Can someone tell me where the starter is located or a website that has the location on my 97 eclipse gst turbo manual? I cant find it anywhere.

Also, how long do you expect it to take to change it? Do i have to take apart anything major?

Its under the intake manifold, you gotta remove the battery and battery tray. Its a little hard to see but its in there.

it shouldn't take more then maybe 20 minutes to change. You should start by removing the battery, then the battery tray. Do not worry about being able to clearly see it. Worry about knowing where its at. Disconnect with a 10mm the hott wire from the starter first, remove the clip, (all of this is done just feeling it out) then remove the two bolts. I believe it's a 17mm and a 14mm. Try using short tools because it a pretty cramped area. If it's any better, try reaching your hand from under the car. The process should not be this puzzling as your making it. Definitely one of the easier task.

any more questions just ask

Gus
