So my buddy has a 2000 v8 5speed Trans am. My car is a 2001 V6 GT. We meet up all the time and ive always wanted to know if my car can keep up with his. Well last night i talked him into a 0-speed limit race. So we found a red light with a 55 mph speed limit. The light turned green and we took off. I totally expected him to get me off the start, but instead we pulled off even neither of us revved before the green light so it was a fair start. He hit second before me being that he has a 5 speed to my 4 speed auto. Well anyways I stayed even with him till i hit second and i pulled in front by a car length by the time we hit 50 and by 60 i was ahead by a car and a half. I know if we where on the strip he would of caught me after that cause he has a higher top end then me. Both cars are completely stock other then he has upgraded brakes and rotors.
