Steering Problem

Steering
I quizzed her again and she now says it didn't growl it makes a squeal noise.
I checked the Belt, doesn't appear to be any issues there with slipping. looks in good condition. I talked to a guy who recommended I change the Power Steering fluid since it has never been done.
can't seem to find much info on this process. I did read one forum post saying to:
1. Empty the Reservoir.
2. Disconnect the lowest hose that is larger and is the Suction hose to the pump.
3. Lower the hose lower than the Steering Gear Assembly and let it drain.
The system holds 1.3 quarts so hopefully I get most of it.
4. Reconnect Suction Hose and fill reservoir.
5. Steer Full Right and Full Left a few times and check level again.
Sure wish I could find a Service manual to download.
guess this will have to be a discovery project.
the Haynes manual at the Library seems to miss stuff like this.
