Default Fuel tank sending unit leak

Ok so when i put in my 255lph fuel pump, some of the studs twisted off in this tank that hold the sending unit assembly in. I drilled them out, put bolts up through, replaced the gasket, and had a leak when i'd launch it or whatever. so i took it apart, gobbered up the bolts with seal all, still leak, tore it back apart, got an attitude and put seal-all on both sides of the gasket, still leaks. so now im pissed off by this point cuz a week has gone by of me smelling gas. i put the whole tube of seal-all all over the sending unit where it meets the tank about 1/4" thick all the way around, all over the studs... still leaks. i cant pinpoint it so im gonna start over
anyone else had this problem? Im wondering if the top of the tank isnt leakin somehwere else. Its dry untill i launch it good or just take off fast with over 1/2 tank.
ill fix it, im just kinda bitchin. Give me some more ideas. Its not a leaky line, ive been over that already.
Its hard to get in there in an AWD, could it be that rubber hose for the tankvent i was pulling on?
