Default 96 eclipse doesn't idle right help

ok i just bought this car and she said it was cold nature and is hard to start in the cold (takes 2 to 3 times to start and have to give it gas) it has to warm up or it will die. and when its warm and its idling it goes from 200 rpms to 1300 rpms than back to 200 rpms over and over again. other than that car runs fine.
i found 4 plugs under the hood that don't go to anything one i think is going to the windshield fluid thats not there but i got pics

As far as the cold nature stuff, I'd say check your spark plugs and wires, maybe even your alternator and battery depending on how old it is, if it's the original battery it couldn't hurt to replace it.

Do what Kaiser Eclipse said. Spark Plugs are super cheap... like $8 for 4. You don't need fancy ones. Wires will run about $30 if I remember correctly.

Also sounds like idle surge to me. If I'm not mistaken, this can be a cause of a faulty IAC (Idle Air Controller...I think). Hopefully someone else who knows what they're talking about can chime in.

I'm sorry if this doesn't apply to our cars, but you might give this 'how-to' a shot. It might get you started on the right track. http://www.ehow.com/how_5560848_chec...rol-valve.html
