ok so i found the switch..the first thing you need to do is open the trunk..then you need to pop off the plastic cover to the driver side taillight inside the trunk..once you do this you will be able to see a little togggle switch that says manual on it.. i have found that it does not matter weather it it is in either position for you to put it up manually or not. any other questions get at me..

 

the switch to change the top from manual to power is right behind the driver side taillight cover inside the trunk. if by turning that on to electric does not help the situation ten either you need a new top motor. one of the control arms to push and pull the motor

 

just flip the switch in teh truck for manual or automatic top....

 

I found the switch and the previous owner had already switched it to manual. Had a brief hope that that was really the problem, so we switched it to Power and tried it, but it was broken.

So now it's back to manual, and it's great to know that he's not going to ruin it if he wants to use the convertible top.
