So just wondering because i hate the antenna and all its tallness on the outside of my car haha 96 eclipse just wondering if anyone has ever replaced the antenna with something thats almost un-noticable, and wondering my interior lights come on when the trunk and passengerside door opens but not when mine opens whats going on, and i am wondering if there is suppose to be a light where you insert the key cause there is a little plastic circle that looks like it should light up buyt mine doesnt so i was gonna fix that but does it even light up??

 

nope there isnt a light in there but if you remove the plastic around the antenna motor you can stop it from going up like i did i hated that stupid little thing so i just unplugged it and only listen to cds.

 

Your door problem, does the key make the bing bing noise when left in with door open?
If not, you have a bad door switch.

Antenna, buy an S2000 antenna.
Its a staggering 12inches high.

 

i bought a stationary antena from autozone for like 25 bucks if i remember correctly and it worked just fine. you can see it in a couple pics in my gallery

 

if you dont want ANY antenna, you could always shave it like it did... it looks sweet, and you can alway get a little radio "antenna" thing from summit that actually goes in ur car, i think its like $60

 

ok so i didnt even know that my car was suppose to make a ding ding noise when the key was in and the door was open.....cause it doesn't so how would i fix that and i also found out that the ring around the key ignition does light up i took it apart today and last thing can i see a picture of your antenna the one thats on the inside because I'm thinkin about takin my antenna off and smoothing the hole over with bond-o, but i would like to see the inside antenna.

 

ohh yeah i also forgot about that S2000 antenna being 12 inches high HA!!! laughable but still doesnt compare with the height of mine....its 30 inches tall!!!! almost 3 F***in feet tall and its noe electric its like a giant MAST on the back of my car.......needless to say......i win... haha

 

i didnt actually get the antenna that goes in ur car, i just know that they make them, i think its not an actual antenna, just a box sorta thing, go to summitracing.com and search for it... i just listen to cd's
