Clutch switch

Clutch switch
Hey guys. I was just wandering about that clutch switch. If I do disconnect it, I can obviously turn on my car with out pushing down on the clutch. Can I just leave it unplugged... forever? And when I turn it on with it disconnected do I have connect it again when I am going to drive? Or can I leave it disconnected and drive, but I then have to push the clutch when shifting, right? I am just a little confused on this switch...

RE: Clutch switch
all unplugging it does is allow you to start up your car without the clutch pedal pushed in, yes you can leave it unplugged forever, no you do not have to plug it in after you start the car, it can be disconnected when you drive and yes you still need to push the clutch pedal in to shift. just make sure that if you are going to start it without the clutch pedal pushed in, that the car is not out of gear, otherwise your car will lurch forward, not to mention that is probably not the best thing for your clutch, but you might hit something (like another car)

RE: Clutch switch
Yeah you can put an auto starter in your car and if there is a hand brake sensor its easy to bypass, though I wouldn't put one in just because what if that one time you leave your car in gear, then forget it is... and then wham-o into what ever is in front of you

RE: Clutch switch
Alright, got a BIG problem. I tried to disconnect it today, and it didnt work. I might have not disconnected the right one, but now every time I push the clutch down it seems like I am losing power. You can hear a "hiss." And also every time i push the clutch my boost gauge reads from 20 vac to 15 vac. It sucks now. Anyone have an idea??? Please help.
