just replace it. its cheaper than a rebuild.
Not that the parts are going to be that expensive to buy, but if you have a bad rod bearing, then the crank is probably pitted, and scared beyond what a machine shop can fix, in that case you are looking at alot more money, not to mention the headache of getting the motor cleaned properly, everything installed properlly, and then bolted back in, everything adjusted properly, and then making it run. Thats alot of work bro. Something I wouldnt trust any shop to do.
So if you cant do it yourself, then I say just buy a used motor, and throw it in.
