Default major n00b alert

i own a fairly rusted 95 eclipse gs, manual.

anywho, i am really quite inexperienced with automototive repair, but have been trying to learn the ropes so to speak. there are a few things i have not been able to pinpoint and i was wondering if you all might be able to lend your suggestions...

1. _slow_ turning of the wheels in a stopped position or at a slow speed (15mph or less?) causes a really horrible grinding/groaning sound. turning the wheels quickly makes no odd sounds.

2. there is a hissing/squealing/whining sound at higher rpms (3500-4500+) in 2nd, 3rd and 4th... not always though, only when the accelerator is close to or fully depressed. if i am easing it up to higher rpms it doesn't make this sound.

3. one of my radiator fans died. i'm assuming wiring, but wondering if this is a common issue

4. my oil pan gasket is leaking. does anyone have any online tutorials or pointers on dropping the oil pan?

thanks so much for your input! owning a busted eclipse has been quite the adventure/learning experience.

1) Wheel bearings

2) Its the sound of your intake

3) Either the fan, a wire harness.. or the thermostat

4) Just inscrew the bolts and change the gasket.. nothing complicated
