Does the car idle any different after the intake was installed? But like Emonz said it sounds like a MAS problem, double and triple check that its in right.

Well first off, dont listen to Get435 about sparying soapy water, thats just idiotic. If you want to check for any vaccum leaks(which it doesnt sound like it is) you take carb cleaner or starter fluid and spray hoses/intake exc. If there is a leak the idle will jump up. Also there is a arrow on the MAS Air that indicates the which way the air flows. SO you want the arrow pointing at the motor. Take some pictures for us and post them so we can get a better look.
Either way it works no problems the only differantc is bubbles are eaier to see than a little wet spot besides the fact a vacume line has two ends who is to say when he installed it it didnt creat a hole on the other sid or in thge middle of it?

Wait though are we not talking about vaccum?? HOw are you going to see these bubbles in the hoses? ANYWAYS, it does not sound like a vaccum leak.

I dont think the problem here is a VAC line anyway. you dont need to touch any VAC lines for an intake install other than the one from the valve cover. I think he did something to the MAF when installing it back on. I bet it is something stupid that is the problem

Maybe the ecu needs to relearn the air intake curve with the new filter. Did you try to reset the ecu?

I dont think that would happen, but I guess it isnt out of question. I have done tons of intakes and never once had any trouble
