Pulsed Air Injection
I remember posting in a post that had dealt with them looking for a pulsed air injection in the car. I can't find it now. I was going to add some new found info on this and I wanted to post it in there, but again, I can't find it so I'll post a new thread in hopes for the OP to find this.
95 Eclipse/Talon/Avenger/Sebrings built before 6/1/95 has a secondary pulsed air injection system. The 96 cars had this omitted. There is a TSB on the PAIR stated here...

Here's some more info on the PAIR...

If you do the keydance and get either 36 or 51...again, many sources and none conclusive.

..as you can see, they are both the same motors and both use those two MIL codes differently. Yes, one is a Mitsu code and the other is a Chrysler code...regardless, they use the same motor, the same ECU/PCU/TCM. This is why a code reader is best used. However a MIL code will get you to the area at your front door instead of Autozone...sometimes.
I've got a CD and paperback manuals on the 4g63, 420a, and 6g73 and the PAIR isn't even noted in them. I've also got a Chrysler shop manual (1&2 vols) and the PAIR isn't even noted there either. It seems that it's a very elusive system to find other than referrences online.
I apologize for the misinformation if you read my statement in that there isn't a PAIR in our motors....obviously for that short stint, there was. I'm just trying to make it right...
