Default six bolt swap going strong but!!!!!

Okay noobish question here do i have to remove the trans entirely to get the old motor out or is there a way i can get it out with out dropping both the trans and the engine? i have everything i need to do the swap i just need to know this one minor detail.look things were going well so i have my old crank walked engne held up on the cherry pick and my six bolt on a engine stand if i have to i can mate them on the ground but i figured that i could get around this i suppose if i were to release the front and rear trans mounts. Would that allow enough movement of the transmission to drop just the motor out of the bottom, or should i go on and drop the trans as well your the pro engineer let me know what you know.

Honestly it would be easier with the transmission attached. You can pull them separately and slide it out, but you'll save yourself some time removing them together.

Its easier to pull them both out together, just remove the hood so you have plenty of space.

we are not saying you NEED to remove them together, you could drop the tranny and then lift the engine, but what we are saying is it is way easier to just remove both at the same time. Will save you alot of time and effort
