2000 Eclipse Timing Belt replaced - chirping noise
My timing belt broke so of course, I had to have the head replaced and I now have a "chirp" which seems to be located on passenger side of engine. Even though I requested, the tensioner and water pump were NOT replaced. I was told it was an unnecessary expense. The serpentine & alt. belts were replaced because the mechanic thought the chirping was coming from that area. I'm tired of messing with "I dont know" so I'm here asking for ideas. Thanks... Kimberly
