Default Clutch problems

I have a 95' eclipse whenever I push in the clutch for more than less than a minute it dies. It starts up fine and drives okay it just has a poblem when I push in the clutch. If you have any ideas what the problem might be please let me know..

It sounds as if the clutch is not holding disengaged. Try it with the car in neutral and see if the engine stalls. I'm guessing you have it in gear with the clutch depressed and when the clutch bleeds down the engine stalls because you have it in gear and with your foot on the brake at idle. You either need a clutch master cyl'r or a slave cyl'r.

it still stalls when the transmission is in neutral. It also produces a loud clicking noise when the clutch is pressed down.

Could be a bad throwout bearing? But I don't understand why the engine stalls even when in neutral, unless your clutch safety switch is bad? Do you have to start the car with the clutch depressed?
