I have a 97 eclipse RS and would like to replace my clutch with a stonger one, but I do not want to pay even what it will cost from work. I have heard of people using the clutch from a turbo Pt Cruiser and also the flywheel. I have talked to my friend at Dodge and he said that it should would, but has anyone actually done this. I still have the stock transmission on the 420a engine and I know that the Pt Cruiser clutch is about 1/2 inch bigger in diameter, can someone answer this for me. I can get the whole setup from Dodge for under $450.00 if it will work.
