Need help front tapping
Hey everyone
I have a 99 eclipse, auto trans, everything is stock except I have a cold air intake. My problem is at 40mph and under there is a tapping sound coming from the front passenger side, it only does this when I let off the gas and coast under 40mph. It stops as soon as I touch the brakes or the gas. I can't feel anything in the steering wheel when it does it and it does not effect the handling, steering, or acceleration but it is loud as hell when it does it. Any help with this issued would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest lifting up that side and try moving things around. It could be your brake calipers, CV joint, steering rods, control arms, ball joints, even the wheel bearing (unlikely, but..).
No not a GSX. But I found the problem, I jacked the car up so I could take the wheel off and found that all the lug nuts were loose. So I took the tire off anyway just to check things out and put the wheel back on (making sure that the lug nuts were tight) and the problem went away. I should have just checked them from the start before bothering you guys, but it's done and now there are no weird noises coming from the car./
