1994 expo f4a23 trany when i turn the o/d on the engine just revs up. will i hurt my trany if i just dont use the o/d?

 

Mine started acting up like that.. First the overdrive stopped working... Then it got stuck in 4th gear... The main problem was, to much fluid in the tranny... But the eclipse has a protection for the tranny that it does. It will only allow it to have (Park,Nuetral,Reverse, and 1 gear). This could be an early stage of something going wrong with your tranny.. You can drive it without overdrive, just don't ride the rpms to high for a long period of time...
