Default Over Drive Problems

MY O/D will not engage on a 1990 mitsubishi eclipse DOHC 2.0, but will move when O/D is selected off. What could be causing this problem.

it could be the engagment of the fourth gear going into it's second part of the gear to the overdrive part. or electrical, it couldn't be getting a current to engage it.

a failed end clutch.
very common. very easy to repair. The transaxle does NOT have to come out of the car.
