Default ENGINE PROBLEMS HELP

I have a 1995,3000GT and itis knocking. I have had alot of work previously done to the car. Now this. There isnt any smoke coming out of the back like you would think if the engine was gone. It has a little oil pressure. What am asking is the motor gone in this car.

Most likely a spun bearing. My suggestion is to replace the motor.

Sounds like it... Your screen name has just come true... youll soon have an MT(empty) 3000... That is until you put a new motor in

If it is knocking, yeah, your are pretty much S.O.L. Does the knocking stay consistant with RPM's?

First, how many miles are on the engine? If you have a "little" oil pressure, does it increase when cold or at higher RPM? Does the engine shake when it is knocking?

If it is your oil pump, you will get very little pressure regardless of temp or RPM. If a plug is fouled, or a valve is damaged, the engine will knock and shake. You can use tubing like a stethoscope to find out where the knocking is coming from. Having a valve replaced is cheaper than buying an engine.
