Default Radiator cooling fans dont come on. Car overheats

Im Kristie and i have a 2002 mits. Lancer. And radiator cooling fans dont come on and car overheats. Took fans out and tested they do come on. Also bought a new control module thats located on the fan itself and still nothing. Test light on all fuse connections but my main questions is could it be a bad temperature control sensor or is it a speed sensor relay? and which relays do i check and are they in the fuse box? The Big black square ones? and which of the 5 or 6 are they? Wish i had a diagram for MY 2002 MITS. LANCER. 4 CYL AUTO. 2.0. Always have a haynes repair book but they dont make them for this car. Unless its the same as a galant.
