Default dead computer

I'm working on a 90 Dodge stealth which is really an eclipse anyway, my problem. the customer brought this car in a year ago with 2 dead ignition coils (3.0 running on 2 cyls). I did every check replaced the whole coil pack and finally replaced the computer, that fixed the problem, until now. Its back with the same exact problem, 2 coils not firing. Is there a problem with these computers or anything that can blow the computer over a period of a year. This car is not a daily driver and has very few miles on it. The trans computer was also changed the first time because the trans wouldn't shift, that part still works.
