stalling problem
first off thank you in advance for any help. I bought a 1995 eclipse for 800 bucks back in April. 69K original miles. no rust, no turbo 2.0 with sunroof. impeccable condition. previous owner locked the motor. found out that connecting rod broke. replaced connecting rod, 4 new pistons along with new piston rings. replaced head gasket, new timing belt set, and new plugs. fired right up. had a low idle issue would barely stay running. I did some research and replaced the TPS sensor and IAC sensor and cleaned the throttle body of all carbon and installed a new throttle body gasket as well. fired up and idled great. had no problems the first few startups. i haven't fully tested it on the street yet. wanted to tie up some loose ends. but now when i start it, it dies immediately. if i start it though and give it gas to 1500 rpm's and then feather the pedal out it will idle fine at just below 1000 rpm's and stay that way no problem till next time i start the car. then same thing, will start, and run for a second then die, start it up give it some gas, for a few seconds, feather out the pedal and let off and idles fine. what could the problem be?
