Hi. I have the radio with the built in cassette player, and separate CD player.

AM and the CD work great, but the FM reception is horrible. There are a ton of FM stations in my state where on any average FM car radio, they come in fine. But even the strongest station, I have to be no more than 10 miles away, otherwise it just fades out. If I hit search, I'm lucky if it'll stop on one station.

Is it the FM receiver or the built into the glass antenna that's doing this? Any ideas?

It is actually the built in glass that does this. If FM is really important to you. You could get the parts need from a DE and have it fitted to your car. Or get Satelitte radio.
