Default Diy Programming new key(s) help!-‘12 Galant

Hi,

Anyone have advice for:
my 2012 Galant has 2 working(will start car) OEM keys w/fob built in.
(Although 1 of the oem keys, the fob’s red lights up with new battery installed in it, but doesn’t work-unlock/lock doors/trunk.

I bought 2 new specific exact matching oem looking keys w/fob built in and had a locksmith cut the keys now fit and turn the ignition perfectly.

HOWEVER when I follow the instructions online such as I find below, using the 2 working keys first, I can’t get any of the new keys registered to start the car. Much less to the second step of registering the new fobs.

I see the new key’s internal fob has the chips loose inside where the oem fob has the chip attached to the circuit board.
But the new keys are specifically suppose to work for this vehicle.

I believe the instructions are flawed.
When I insert the second working key after the first and turn to the ON position, the security light starts flashing quickly about 10 times.
So I remove the key and insert and turn to on, one of the new keys and the security light goes off right away. Like it’s not learning the new key.

This is what I followed:

Thank you for any help!
