Hi gallant owners.

i want to ask, what octane do you use on your gallant? what is the best octane for our gallant?

use the MINIMUM suggested.
the 4 cylinder uses 87. Use NOTHING higher.

the 6 cylinders usually require premium.
use ONLY whats recommended. using higher in a car that does not require it does NOTHING. In fact, it often causes cold drivability issues. plus, it wastes your money.

 

I think Econo boxes uses the Regular gas for the Lancer and Galant.

I am not sure about the Ralliart and Evo X they have turbos it might be a higher grade but not sure which one.

What I heard from Spike TV that mid grade is better but I never used it. Why? it is 50 cent more expensive and I stick to the owners's manual for recommendation

 

once again, read your manual.
use ONLY the lowest octane rating recommended. NEVER, EVER use higher.
