My poor '01 Montero. The driver side door light won't turn off. It's run down my battery twice. Short of disconnecting it, is there another solution? The spring-loaded gizmo in the door that connects when the door closes appears to be OK...

 

looks like you have some moisture in the contacts spary with wd40 or sum other good stuff . and it will work

 

you have water or mositure in the contacts spray it with wd40 or eq
