ok so my dad just bought a 95 sr and a few things don't work, tach, fuel guage, abs light is on, and the radio only works when the headlights are on

Checked brake fluid level

I've looked at wires from each wheel and from gas tank to see if there were any that were frayed, there weren't but there is a cluster of wires near the steering rack on the passenger side that are encased in solidified oil. luckily there is no wet oil so maybe the leak was fixed, or it self healed with the build up.

not sure where the sensor is for the tach ( does it run off the vss? where is that?)

other than that she seems to run great and 4x4 works too!
