Default Problem with alignment

Two weeks ago was driving about 25 in a straight line going over a new bridge that was built in the spring over a small creek. Bridge is about 25 yards long if not less. Tail suddenly came loose and was coming over on the left. By the time I have realized what was happening and try to corrected I have jumped a curb and hit a rail.

Damage. Broken rim and destroyed tire. Bumper on the right corner is damaged, as well as fog light is gone.

Mechanic looked over the suspension and said all looks good, but needs an alignment. Took it to Firestone, local Dealer said they do not do those and recommended local Firestone.

After a while the guy came back and said that due to the midwest winters that is the best he can do. According to him he could not get rear brake loose at all. Front he was able to correct a bit. It used to pull heavily, now it pulls just a bit.

Front left seams to be in specs now.

Front right Caster is 2.9 while specs are 3.3 4.3

Front center Cross caster is 0.9 while specs are -0.5 0.5

Rear left Camber -1.8 while specs are -0.5 0.5; toe -0.9 while specs are 0.00 0.12

Rear right Camber -1.7 while specs are -0.5 0.5; toe -0.24 while specs are o.oo 0.12

Rear Cross camber is -0.1 while specs are -0.5 0.5
Total toe -0.32 while specs are 0.00 0.24

It is an 2002 Montero Full Limited

What are my options? Is the shop that did the work not able to get it done right, or am I total SOL with it?

Thank you.

Default RE: Problem with alignment

Get your alignment done at a Mitsubishi dealer service department. The Montero has some quirks with alignment, particularly the rear, and they need a specialized machine to properly do it (or so I'm told). I had my '03 Limited in for four days while they tweaked my alignment. Rear was WAY out of spec, which I suspected, but they also found the front was out as well. Since this was done I've had no problems or uneven wear.
Brakes grabbed, however, are very suspect. I don't have any advice on that one, though, other than check the internal drums on the rear.
Good luck!
