Hi, my roommate has a 91 montero ls. Recents, cap/wires/plugs/cat/pwr steering pump/belts. Her truck runs fine but leaves her stranded randomly.

It stalls out and won't start for several hours. It cranks fine, all electric stuff works. Just looking for troubleshooting advice, fuel problems maybe?


It blew several fuses all at once last year, all lights/blinkers, replaced them and it hasn't happened since. Ecm?

Any thoughts would help

 

Its ether an electrical issue (spark signal) or fuel related. Not really possible to diagnose without additional info. When it stalls next time, you can check if there is spark occurring. If "Yes", then its a fuel issue. If "No" - Its an issue with electrical system and you need to figure out why what is happening and why.
