Default 2005 Outlander IPOD Audio Kit

At the dealer the other day I noticed an IPOD cable kit (advertisement) for the Outlander. In searching, there is very little information I can find out there about it. It supposedly utilizes the radio controls (if I understood the guy right) to control the IPOD and costs around $200.00. Anyone know anything about the specifics?

Not sure about that kit, but there is a device that converts the music from your IPOD to FM radio waves- you choose a FM station and set your tuner to it and viola- you have your music.
And best of all, it list for only $50.
Take that Mitsu.....lol
here's the link

Ive treid the FM transmitter... its not the best for sound quality.

honestly, if you change the head unit to something with rca cables in the back, you could have better sound quality and an easier way to connect your DAP (digital audio player). granted on mine I cant use the controls, but the thing is that anyone with a music device, that has a headphone jack, can play there music in full stereo sound.

uh-oh, my wife is getting one for her truck- it was recommended to her and someone at her work is getting it for her for Xmas. We'll have to see. My stereo has inputs for it, but it doesn't help her much...lol
Did you try different stations and still get poor quality sound?

I found pics of the ipod adopter kit on ebay, and the wiring instructions were with it.. they show a special type of din plugging into the back of the deck going to to a metal breakout box that has a ipod connection cable on the other end. it doesn’t appear that there is any other type of adapters for it. I was looking for blue tooth or/and a Auxiliary input.
