I used a 30amp 4 or 5prong switching relay... it is the most basic type. when 12v is sent over the switching terminals, it closes the circuit for the other 2 terminals. kind of like a light switch... putting 12v to it is like flicking on the switch, then taking away the 12v turns the switch off.

You can get the Relay at radioshack or other electronics hobby stores, maybe at an automotive store (but youll probably just find odd ones for specific applications). Autozone sometimes has the exact relay you want hanging by the aftermarket lights and neon stuff for like $4

A good (but expensive $30) way is to buy a set of those "big red truck horns" from pepboys, the come with the exact relay you need.

All relays will have a diagram on top listing what the pins do, so you can connect it right. usually like 86a and b, and 87a and b... it does require a few basic electronics skills.

Here is one that would work great http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120272068059

HAVE FUN! and dont short anything out.

Good information -----is there a possiblity of doing the bypass within the drl relay's internal circuit?

Because I had a 2003 corolla with a drl disable/bypass by cutting some of the connections inside the relay and reconnecting the different terminals with jumper wires to enable certain functions such as the autolight feature.

While the corolla's relay was big---about the dimension of credit card--I would assume that the circuit would be similar.
