Hi!

I have a 2010 outlander with rockford fosgate navi, that only has bluetooth mobile connection.

I am playing with the idea of placing an navi from a 2012 so that i can get bluetooth audio.

Is it that simple as plug and play? Or is there something more that needs to be changed ?

Is it an external bluetooth dongle for this unit ?

I have a 2010 outlander with the same system and my Bluetooth music works. Have a read of the manual.

 

Also as far as I understand on the 2010 the Bluetooth services are provided by a little metal Bluetooth computer module behind the radio near the glove box, not the radio itself.

 

Stuart is correct. The 2010 and 2012 Nav units are identical and both have streaming bluetooth audio.
