Absolutely! If you want to experiment with changing the boot-up images to say something like "by otaku, if you paid $$ for this you got ripped off" I certainly wouldn't mind! hah

 

Nope... after the version up, the MMCS sits with a black screen. Same behavior as before when you said you got a CRC or a checksum wrong. Looks like now I have to pull the drive to fix it, too

 

In fairness to that poster, I have seen that "solution" being sold in ebay a little earlier than when the discussion on unlocking the firmware started on this thread. But that might be a different vendor. I was actually thinking then that it could have been one of those "hardware" hack that was previously discussed on this board. But now that the software/firmware hack is out, it's very easy to copy this solution and sell it for spare change. So yeah, I wouldn't mind a little watermark (e.g. © Otaku) if that'll keep these suckers from making money out of other's work
