I have the 09 Lancer GTS with version 30.99. Am I reading these post right that I should NOT use the last patch, until one is available for this version?

Thanks in advance

Is the iPod adapter compatible with the US models? If anyone has it is it straight audio (I assume) or does it support video too? I've been looking for the best way to connect my iPod. If it does work in the US models, where do I get one? Thanks for the research azchipka and jsrd

The kenwood version you can order direct from kenwood or the part number from mits is MZ608561 im guessing buying from kenwood will be cheaper. I am almost positive it doesnt do video you can purchase the kenwood version here for $49.99

Well theres a pretty big difference between the two items your comparing.

The kenwood devices doesnt require the use of the AUX panel, its direct wired to the back of the MMC and allows for the control on the steering wheel to be used for controlling the iPod additionally song information is provided to the MMC. None of which is obtained through using the RCA adaptor.

not to mention keeping your ipod charged so it is ready to go with you and also keeping it hidden in the glove box or something. The fewer cables a thief sees in your car the less likely they are to think you have an iPod in there.

Do you actually have one azchipka? Or do you know someone with one? This seems like a pretty good thing if it will actually work with US models, otherwise its probably not a terribly difficult firmware hack. Cobine that with DVD and AUX in motion and the MMCS actually becomes a pretty good entertainment system.

I dont have one yet but I do have one on order. This is the unit being sold in Japan for the MMC to have an ipod connected to it. The cruchfield website says it wont work in the outlander but that said it was only $50 so I have ordered on anyways and hope for the best. Ill post an update once it has arrived and I have it installed and working (hopefully).
