If I didn't mention it, I have a US released Evo. If you are somewhere else, check your versions carefully.

I have a US released GTS with the same version. I triple-checked to make sure. Thanks for the link, I had that at one point and deleted it for some reason.

Hello all,

I have an US and EU system. I know how to unlock the HD and I'm sure that I can duplex the disks.
But the question is, will my EU version work in the US system?

We have imported a outlander from the US and would like to update the navigation.
Any hints or do's and dont's on this topic?

Tnx...

I have US Outlander with EU maps. I got an image of EM version from rcostin (a great thanks to you rcostin once again!) and I made a hybrid version. you need to overwrite the navi partition with european version BUT leave the voice files (voicedat.001 and 002 if I can remember) otherwise you will not have voice commands - unit is looking for american english that is not included in european version. leave the rest of the disk untouched, swapping the files on other partitions gives you nothing. do not change the loading.kwi - this will hang the system. rerinstall hhd and do cold restart. after 30 seconds you should see your home location on the screen.
BTW does anyone has an idea if there is a way to cheat the UM version so it will load EM loading.kwi? change the header or something similar? I'm not a software guru but hopefully it will be possible and all the problems with UM version in europe would be sorted out - time, fm frequencies, dvd region, rds??? otaku, brain360 and all other people who made dvd in motion patch working - any ideas? suggestions?

Hello darek_u, I will try your hybrid solution.

I found that the MMCS is partly controled by the canbus line and that part of it is isolated.
It seems that the MMCS hardware is the same for EU and US and that part is communicating with the ETACS witch is programmed by the variant coding files.
Every car has his own variant coding file and in combination with the MUT-3 you can program the ETACS.
If somebody can modify these variant coding files from US to EU specs, then maybe the MMCS will also work with the EU harddisk image.

It seems that if a EU radio is installed into an US car, the radio will default to US standards when the ignition key is turned on.
Maybe somebody else knows a little about this subject.

Tnx.....

I suspected that it has something to do with etacs. i had a look into service manual and it says that each etacs has two sets of coding: global and local. global means that it is coded for specific market/destination (us for example) and these settings are permanent - are they really? does anybody know? local coding refers to options that can be changed using diagnostic tool, ie. sirius, auto lights etc. i presume that changing some global settings will force mmcs to accept eu image. does anybody know if it is technically possible? my local dealer does not have a clue about coding the etacs...
there is something else that came on my mind - one of the options in mmcs service menu is 'canbox load'. when you choose it system asks for disk. replacing canbox software can help? dealer is again hopeless... i have a feeling that i grope for the solution but i'm really desperate to get mmcs fully functioning, especially the time reading and fm frequencies.

thanks in advance for any suggestions

Hi. Ever since I decided to drive without music on, I have noticed that my 09 lancer gts puts out this one clicking rear sound after I put in Drive and drive several feet. After that it just drives normal even when I stop and go again. It only happens after I park for at least 5-10 minutes and when I put in Drive and drive several feet, the clicking noice in the rear goes off again. Do any of you have this sound?the sound is like when you press open/lock door and you hear the locking/opening of the door lock. But the sound only happens inthe rear and beneath the car. Can you guys pm me back when you have a chance to drive withoutany sound/music onto see if you hear this rear clicking noise? Thanks.

Hello everybody,

I've a loader : NR291-EM version 1.09 and application : 00.40.11
In support info, SW: H.

I tested MMCS-E-DVD.rar but it doesn't work. The MMCS check the disque and it stop. No update suggested.

Is there any updates for the DVD/AUX-in-motion patch for my version?

Other question : I'd like to rip MP3 CD-r to my HDD. Is it possible with a patch? And existing it?

Thanks you very much for your responds and sorry for my bad english.
