DVD in motion patch for NR261UM
I just registered to say thank you.
I own a 2008 Lancer with the MMCS, and from the very first day I wanted to unlock the DVD playback.
After hunting through several threads here I found the following link:
http://www.deltainfo.ro/manuals/mitsu/outlander/
I used the "Outlander Update CD, NR261-UM, Software version Version 00.30.94, DVD in motion allowed" ISO file to burn a CD and it worked like a charm.
I must say the reverse engineering work you guys (Otaku, brian) did to produce the CD was fairly impressive.

I posted this in the unlock MMCS section as well hoping to get a response somewhere.....
Ok so I pulled the hard drive. I have an old laptop that has the pinned ATA drive so all I did was put the Nav unit hard drive in its place. I loaded the unlock software with option #3. It runs through some commands and then it just sits there....No command prompt....I left it sit there for about 15 minutes thinking it was reading something from the drive but it still sat there. Weird. I put it back in my nav unit for now. Should it boot right in to the command prompt or does it take a while? Could it possibly be my ancient computer does not recognize it properly? Yes I only enabled the CD to boot from. Any help would be appreciated...Thanks

To give a little update on the TV-Kit I bought one for my 2008 evo x. I choose to have the local car audio shop install it for me. It only cost me 80 Bucks to have that installed and my aux cord hide to in side the glove box. It all works like a dream. Like other have said u have to switch from DVD to NAV but I don't care cant see me using both at the same time anyway. One down fall was that the part comes from Japan so it took like 3 weeks for me to get it. I would like to thank everyone for their help and the Great threads

Hello all,
Got my TV-kit today and is already mounted and running. The instructions are in Japanese but didnt have any problems thank to the pictures. It works as advertised by others in this forum. Now the passenger can watch a music video or movie, even better now when I play music from my Zune the display is the album cover instead of the boring old black screen.
I think I made a mistake when ordering because I received two Tv-kit units instead of one. If anyone is interested in buying drop me a line.
