Had my 09 for almost a month now, and no dents/creases yet. The roads in my area arent smooth either so its been shaken around a bit too.

Just noticed two small dents on drivers side today..... only visible at certain angles in sunshine, nearside appears OK; Will have to see what develops before next February when manufacturers' warranty runs out !!

Thumbs down 10 yr warranty is BULLS**T

It seems to me that there is a major design flaw with the metal in the hood. Seems it is not strong enough under the hinge plates, causing the hood to buckle when placed on prop rod. Have complained to stealership and to Mitsu Canada with no luck. Almost seems Mitsubishi don't give a s**t about customers complaints, 10 years warranty and they won't cover anything, rock chips, dents in hood etc. Not impressed with Mitsu service so far. This will be the last Mitsu I own. Will buy domestic from now on.

Was told from the Mitsu rep that I'm just being to fussy. Well yes I am being fussy. I hate dents and rock chips that make a new vehicle look like crap. Will post pics of the dents in my hood later when I get some good pics of them.
Rant over. Thanks.

you guys might also want to watch the hood when you are driving at higher speeds. I noticed at 70mph on an interstate that it looked like the hood was kinda bobbing up and down a bit. I'm sure over time that bobbing will stretch the metal.

I noticed that i have a small dimple on the driver's side, barely noticable unless you take a hard look at it at a certain angle. Is it the same with the dents and creases you guys have? or is it just starting to get big?

What can we do to prevent it making it big?

Sure does sound like the same dents we are all complaining about. The only way to stop them is to buy hood shocks. The dents on my hood are getting worse everytime the hood is opened and put on the prop rod.

I also have an 07 ls and the sokie tech I bought fit well except for the 2 bolts that mount to the hood hinge....they're too short. I suggest buying a longer bolt.

I just picked up a 2010 Outlander and would like to know if this issue has been corrected for 2010. Anyone with a 2010 showing the dents in the hood? How long does it take for the dents to show? Where is a good place to buy the damper kit in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area?
Thanks
