Regarding the diag access menu for the US system, how does one do this?

I'm trying to figure out a way to disable the auto-volume system; see our units (not sure about yours) have a rockford "amplifier" and when the music gets turned up it will adjust the volume in order to not harm the speakers. Unfortunately this cripples the system and sounds horrible.

No this is not the auto speed adjusting setting - that is disabled.

Yes, that's necessary !
Disconnect acu and wait for few minutes. Put Your cloned HDD into MMCS and connect acu. Turn ignition key.
MMCS should display: checking...initialisation ....instalation
What version of MMCS You have?
May You upload You original loading.kwi file?
Which version of maps You have? ( M140 are available )
I did whole disk Image by Norton Ghost 11
This and a lot of nice very usable good tools you can find on http://www.hirensbootcd.net/details/10.2.html
Download Hiren's BootCD 10.2
By that CD You can play and explore nice way Your HDD beucose CD include mini Windows XP which You boot from CD
New version of Ghost like 15 are doing only backup of partiotions but can't backup whole disc, unfortunatly size of partitions has a matter, ex music server partition so Ghost 11 is the simply the best tool here!
Ghost 11 is also accepting my Transcend USB HDD so owners of laptops can run Norton Ghost from Boot CD/DVD and do backup of whole HDD and of course reverse too
I used bigger 60 GB Hitachi HDD and everything works fine
My home PC with EPOX Mainboard, didn't work properly, BIOS recognize Toshiba 2,5" HDD but PC doesn't run, is stopped after POST.
To play with MMCS i used then my Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 but HDD is in good shockprotected, horrible to disassembly/assembly and easy to damage (ribbon cable with soldered HDD connector) expensive pocket !!!

Additional info to new MMCS players !!!:
LOOK OUT for HDD passwords, they are two different for US and EU versions !!!
EU should be:
unlockhd -p B2BAB3BCB0DFACBEB1BBBEDFB1ADD2CDC9CEBAB2DFB19E8996DFAA8C9A8DDFDF
US should be:
unlockhd -p B2BAB3BCB0DFACBEB1BBBEDFB1ADD2CDC9CEAAB2DFB19E8996DFAA8C9A8DDFDF
I bolded different in passwords

Hi everybody!!
I'm from Spain, my father-in-law bought a Outlander which came with MMCs, i'm trying to unlock the hdd to update maps as it came with 2005 version but i have a problem. I'm using a laptop, i remove my hdd and connect outlander's insede the laptop. Laptop is set to start dvd first, but during bios start it asks for Hdd Pass and cannot boot from CD. Anyone has got the same problem?? How can I do to avoid HDD pass in bios and let the xbox unlock cd start?
Thanks in advance to all.

P.D. - the pass i'm using is for 216EM European version but i cannot write it as it is too long for bios post hdd pass.

How long can be a bioss HDD password ?
Maybe You try:
MELCO SANDA NR-261EM Navi User
or
EMCL OASDN ARN2-16MEN va isUre
If it doesn't work You have to find other PC
My home PC completely doesn't start with MMCS HDD conected
My laptop Panasonic CF-29 is starting, but I have no password HDD options in BIOS

I think it just reads free space in that partition. You might be able to see something in the SET+NAVI mode (hold SET and NAVI for a few seconds).

I would like to test if is something new in 50.21
There is one loading.kwi GURU here.
You now his name
But Otaku is probably too busy with other projects and for Happy New Year loadings a lot of MMCS owners waited long long time, over a year, I suppose.
I'm still looking for working loading.kwi unpacker/packer to try play with those files.
Lucky me, I bought second hand MMCS, so I have everything on a table.
