Hello, please I need help with my MMCS 261UM. My HDD was demaged when I tried to do disk image. Can somebode tell me where can I find disk image to download from internet or please give me advise what shout I do. Many thanks.

have you looked for some torrents? Anyway I think it is very difficult that someone has uploaded/shared something like a 30GB image file...
I cannot help you as my image is for a EM model.

 

Guys, sry for being noob, but every time i think i figured it out, i find something new that bothers me.

What is all about with those kwi files?

If i want to unlock my mmcs and update maps, should i even bother to think about kwi files? Or kwi files are used by these clever guys who did all the work and brought us here?

I have a ghost light image (less then 500MB) of 261EM version, I have removed the map and the audio files on music server.
If you find the differents from 261UM you can use mine.

I have update the original 2006 Map with Europe MAP190-2010A version. I think you can also find your MAP and just copy it on the first partition named HDD1.

Thanks Aalisant , I will not buy it then. Was it a particular SSD model (SLC , MLC) ? Have you tried to update the SSD firmware ?
Just got in today the used Toshiba 80GB GAC. Tonight some testing for SMART and sectors with HD-Tune then image copy and... voilą ;-) (I hope).

 

Where You found 80 GB GAC ? What they cost ?

 

I found a used one from this guy at 45E shipped.
