Thanks for trying...

But non-HID systems use the 9006 halogen lamps as the DRLs, but on a lower voltage.
I've heard that the DRLs run on a reduced voltage of 10 volts.
Replacing them with a resistor would leave you without any low beam headlights.

Take care!

So I received my LED bulbs today and thought I would post some pics. Lights are definitely brighter, and whiter than the original factory bulbs. The bulbs are larger in both length and width. The LED bulb almost didn`t fit in the cargo area light fixture as the LED chiptouches the plastic housing. You may want to take a flat head and try to flatten the ends somewhat. I would say that the lenghth is about2.0 mm longer on each end. I`ve done the license plates as well, but the only difference is that it is now white, not necessarily brighter. Sorry about the blurry pics, trying to take them in my pitch black garage is pretty hard without any movement.

Anyways here is a comparison of the front:

Nice photos.

Which LED bulbs did you buy?
Was it a 3022 type and how many LEDs on each?
I just ordered a few more from V-LEDS.

Thanks!

I bought my bulbs from Autolumination.com.

For the interior, I purchased four "6 LED Super High Flux" bulbs which were $8.99 each. They are the replacement for 3022. http://autolumination.com/festoon.htm

For the license plates, I purchased two "SMT Tower 194" bulbs which were also $8.99. These bulbs only had 5 LEDs, which I found to be sufficient enough. http://autolumination.com/194.htm

Here are some comparison pics of my plates.
