Default Mitsubishi Outlander Central locking issues

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help as I am at a complete loss with what is wrong with my Mitsubish Outlander door locking. It's a 2015 model that I bought second hand 18 months ago and have had this problem since I got it ( I believe it was an issue before I bought it and wasn't told about)
So occasionally my drivers door and back-seat door will not lock or unlock with my key fob. It's very hit and miss, sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't and I will have to manually unlock it with the key in the door or the lock on the inside of the door.
Has anybody else experienced this issue or have any advice? Its very frustrating. I had mentioned it to my mechanic when having a routine service but because it was working at the time they couldn't help me.

Where are you from? The door lock issues were addressed by a recall here in Australia.

The lock mechanisms will need replacing. Check with you dealer whether a recall was issued. for your car

I'm located in Queensland Australia.
I had no idea there was a recall for the locks! Thank you I will be checking that. Will they replace them free of charge even if it has been a while since the recall?

Not all cars were subject to the recall. Only ones in a certain range. And the recall did not replace all the locks, some had 2, some had 3 and a few had all 4 done.

Contact your local dealer and they can check for you.
