My little outlands off roads nicely
So i recently started racing my outlander (2003) stock FWD off road on privet land, and i gotta say, im impressed.
Iv been in Lamborghini's, Dodge Vipers, Ford Raptors, Lotus, etc, so i know what its like in a high performance car on and off the road, but i gotta say, my little outlander has held up surprisingly well through all the terrible things i do to it. It can really take some abuse.
I hit almost 60MPH off road, and it was 100% stable. (i will take video of this soon once i get a dashboard mount for my camera) and she grips the road very nicely, especially for being a FWD instead of the AWD. I know its not the fastest car in the world, but as far as pushing this car, its done a lot.
1) Hit 110MPH (after weight reduction)
2) Driven it at 90MPH for hours at a time
3) Over 100,000 miles and still kicking hard core
4) Over 7 years old
5) Even when the car was about to break down and cry, she still drove for 100's of miles without any performance suffering.
6) I have driving it off road at relatively high speeds (55MPH +/-)
7) It has gone through the coldest of winters, and the hottest of summers
Icould go on with how i abuse the crap out of this car, but i think the fact that its held up this well will little to no problems is impressive. And its for that reason i feel this is a special car.
Some people name their cars shorty after they get them. Not me. Iv had my car for a long time now, and only after she dies will i know what to call her. She deserves a life time of achievement to earn herself a good name. When the time comes, she will have the perfect name.
I love my outlander
