Welcome, and congrats on the purchase.
I haven't seen any upgrade kits available to install the HID's. On other cars the cost is around $1000 for all of the parts (ballasts, igniters, headlights, cables etc.).

....thanks for the quick reply. i was hoping to buy from mitsu what ever system was put onto the xls that has the "luxury package" enabling it to have HIDs'. wanting to buy the factory set up in hopes of it being plug-and-play.
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new purchase. The Mits system isn't available yet but I am guessing if and when it is available, it will easily be in the $1,000 price range. In addition to the bulbs, ballasts and ignitors, the factory system also has autoleveling sensors and motors. Even if you want to install yourself you will have to make a trip to the stealer to get the ETACS-ECU variant coding changed for the HID system. Finally, not sure about the US non-HID cars but I presume you will also need to change your DRL's to the fog lights or disable completely.
If you want to avoid the niceties and expense of a factory system, eBay has lots of aftermarket kits which won't be autoleveling but will work just the same - the HID housing and halogen housings are the same in the 07 Outie so is a fairly simple install.

so if i get an after-market kit , i first need to hav ethe ECU reprogrammed so there is no voltage going to the head light circuit when the vehicle is turned on (DRL) ? i could then wire in to the "normal headlight" circuit. correct ?
Probably - however, you may create another issue because I think the ETACS-ECU may start looking for the driving lights in the fog light position and you may get a warning light. The other issue is the ETACS-ECU may also assume that since you are your changing the driving light option codingthat you have a factory HID system and may start trying to diagnose the autoleveling sensors. However, the factory HID system has its own ECU so maybe not.
I haven't had a chance to play around with this yet so this is just my guess at this point.
Someone else on this board installed aftermarket HIDS (Biscuit??) so I'd be curious as to their setup and if they ran into any issues.

it sounds like it may be easier to find the wire that triggers the DRL circuit to activate and disconnect it .
then trigger the after-market HIDs with the wire that signals the head light circuit to go to "full voltage"

Im curious why do you want HIDs anyway since it didnt come with it sounds like and expensive investment? I have noticed that the stockheadlights are super freakin bright as they are, I feel sorry for the oncoming traffic theyre so bright. Or is it the bling factor your after?
definetly not looking for "bling factor". the only other '07 i have seen on the road was at night. it deffinetly had the HIDs' and i like the way they illuminated the road in front of the vehicle...........
i also like the fact that with the factory HIDs theDRLs are the fog lights instead of just sending reduced voltage to the "regular headlight" bulbs.
