If I understand your question correctly you are saying your Outlander has very little power when driving it. It's possible your vehicle's computer has sensed a problem and put the vehicle in limp home mode. Limp home mode limits your speed and RPMs, but does allow the vehicle to be driven at lower speeds. Do you have a check engine light on the dash? You need to take the vehicle to the dealer to have it checked out.

Did you get the P0487 fault cleared? As mine has just come up with the same fault. Just wondering how much it is going cost to get fixed?

Regarding the PO487 fault. I took it to the Mitsubishi garage and found it was the EGR Valve and the EGR valve regulator. Cost £600 all in. Had to take a seat when they told me at first the cost.

Well its covered under warranty, so they can write $10,000 if Mitsubishi doesn't reject their warranty claim. I've never heard of that issue on this forum, but then again the 2.0L Outlander is very rare and sold in a few markets only.
