We purchased our 07 LS about a month ago. Since then it has been an amazing vehicle.

...however... we've noticed that if you start it up, then put it in drive...after about a second, there is a rattle/light clunk up front. It doesn't happen if you just put it in park, then in drive...you have to turn the car on, then put it in drive.

we have an appointment with the stealership on saturday. They said that it may have something to do with the ABS "resetting" itself. I had something similar to this on my old '98 Grand Prix...but that never got fixed.

Any ideas? if this is how it is supposed to act...that is pretty irritating.

sounds normal to me related to ABS, the clunk has different symptoms which is related to turning the car while driving

 

I have it on my 08 ES. Its the ABS system resetting. Check your owner's manual under antilock braking system (ABS) and you will see they talk about this and tell you its normal.

 

thanks guys, did some searching and have some ideas. at any rate...I'll get the computers flashed for the acceleration problem.
