Default Test drove today-couple things...

Love it, love it, love it. Is there any way to disable the annoying Navigation disclamer message that comes up every time you start the car? Do I have to hit the ok button every single time I drive (that will annoy wife bigtime)??

I've never had nav before so maybe this is old news to most of you but I love how the keyboard only shows you the letters you need for the towns/streets that are in the database. Very nice touch and makes looking for something while driving almost doable. Cool.

No other complaints here. I think I may have convinced my father-in-law to lease one and he has been a Lexus RX-300/330 leasee for 7 years. We were quoted 500 under invoice for XLS 4WD with Nav (loaded) plus 1000 lease rebate. Purchase price 27k even w/1k down-$380/month, 3/36k miles. Mitsubishi residuals are pretty crappy.

AFAIK there is no way to disable the disclaimer -- soon enough you'll get used to hitting it that you won't realize you do it (which defeats the whole purpose). You only need to hit the OK button when you plan to use the navigation features. All other features (info, audio) will work w/o a disclaimer confirmation.

I dont notice if mine comes on any more. I leave my on sirus radio and just start going through the stations. Im going to have to pay attention next time I get in. I think it turns off on its own if your going through stations.

If it makes you feel any better my brother in laws lexus is the same way with the annoying warning. The other thing I noticed about the lexus is you cant imput anything while moving, which actually caused my brother in law to almost kill us all because he was trying to fix the being lost condition at lights.
I dont have the nav in my LS so I cant speak for that compared to the outlanders system.

The Outtie can input things while moving, it is kind of hard to say which way is more dangerous.

The Nav warning only comes up if the Nav system is what you were in last before turning it off.
